Who Can Get Help?
We help people ages 55 to 65 who can not work because of a health problem and are under a doctor's care. Here is a simple list to see if we are the right fit for you.
You may get help if…
- You are between 55 and 65 years old
- You are not working right now
- You have seen a doctor in the last 12 months for your condition
- You worked at least 5 of the last 10 years
- You are not already getting SSI, SSDI, or other Social Security
- You do not have a pending case or a lawyer on your claim
- You want free help with your claim
You may not get help if…
- You are under 55 or over 65
- You are working or on medical leave
- You have not seen a doctor in the last 12 months
- You already get SSI, SSDI, or Social Security
- You already have a lawyer or a pending SSDI case
- You plan to apply directly with Social Security on your own
- Your disability benefits were cut off in the last year
- You owe back taxes, child support, or court-ordered debt
- You have been convicted of a felony
Health problems that often help you get monthly disability payments
