Who Can Get Help?

We help people ages 55 to 65 who can not work because of a health problem and are under a doctor's care. Here is a simple list to see if we are the right fit for you.

You may get help if…

  • You are between 55 and 65 years old
  • You are not working right now
  • You have seen a doctor in the last 12 months for your condition
  • You worked at least 5 of the last 10 years
  • You are not already getting SSI, SSDI, or other Social Security
  • You do not have a pending case or a lawyer on your claim
  • You want free help with your claim

You may not get help if…

  • You are under 55 or over 65
  • You are working or on medical leave
  • You have not seen a doctor in the last 12 months
  • You already get SSI, SSDI, or Social Security
  • You already have a lawyer or a pending SSDI case
  • You plan to apply directly with Social Security on your own
  • Your disability benefits were cut off in the last year
  • You owe back taxes, child support, or court-ordered debt
  • You have been convicted of a felony
