Is it really free?+
Yes. Our help and our check are free. If you choose to work with a helper later, they only get paid if you win. The law sets that fee, so you do not pay out of your own pocket.
How long does it take?+
The first answer takes 3 to 6 months. If you have to ask again, it can take 1 to 2 years. Good papers and notes from your doctor help speed it up.
What if I was told no?+
Most people are told no the first time. You have 60 days to ask them to look again. Most people who ask again, with help, get a yes.
Do I need a lawyer?+
Not always. But help can make a big difference. Helpers only get paid if you win. By law, the fee is no more than $7,200.
Will it hurt my other help?+
No. Monthly disability payments do not lower most other help. After 2 years, you also get Medicare for your health care.
Is my info safe?+
Yes. We keep your info private. We do not sell it. Only the helper on your case sees your info.
